The Brenna chair is just one item that ships immediately from Hooker’s Georgia warehouse.
HIGH POINT — Accentrics Home, a Hooker Furnishings brand, is heading to this week’s market with an assortment of more than 500 accent furnishings, all in-stock and ready for immediate shipment.
“Our team has analyzed every SKU to refocus the line on the four most important categories that set the tone in a space, namely, accent chairs, upholstered and metal beds, drawer and door accent chests and consoles, and small accents tables (think martini tables and unique side tables) that can be easily moved around a room,” said Allison Eremita, Accentrics’ vice president of sales and merchandising.
Emerita was hired six months ago and charged with recasting the line with a focus on trend. “These pieces are like jewelry for the home,” she said.
With $30 million in inventory already warehoused in Hooker Furnishings’ new Georgia-based 800,000-square-foot distribution facility, Accentrics says orders placed at market will likely be on the way to buyers before they get back to the store.
Besides delivery, the emphasis in the Accentrics Home showroom at 220 Elm is on helping dealers drive traffic with cash-and-carry type designs that satisfy shoppers’ desire for immediate gratification.
“We have focused on developing unexpected, and fresh home fashions designed to be collected, rather than collections,” Eremita said. “We will showcase a new program of larger scale upholstered beds in multiple colors. There’s also a new accent chair program set apart by bright colors, more contemporary design and very soft livable fabrics, and a variety of chests, bars, consoles and accent tables.
Inspiring the designs are trends like California casual, Mid-Century Modern and mixed media influences throughout the accent chests and consoles, accent tables, beds, and unique nightstands developed with more relaxed finishes and rustic influences that hide the wear and tear of family life.
